The Retail of the video game Gamestop (GME) bought 4,710 Bitcoin, which costs about $ 513 million at the time of writing.
Gamestop announced the purchase at X on Wednesday But did not offer additional details about when the BTC was obtained or the price paid.
The Grapevine, Texas -based company revealed its plans to pursue a Bitcoin Treasury approach in Marchoffers $ 1.3 billion in debt to raise funds for BTC acquisition.
GME shares rose more than 4% on US pre-market trading in the news, while Bitcoin prices remained covered around $ 108,000.
