Lamina1 partners with linea to bring media owned by the creator to Ethereum

Lamina1, the Blockchain content platform established by sci-fi-Fi author Neal Stephenson, cooperated with the Consensys’ Layer-2 network line to bring media owned by the creator to the Ethereum.
The collaboration aims to change the digital storytelling by providing control over the creators of their intellectual possession and a direct channel in their communities, according to an announcement shared with the cointelegraph.
Collaboration includes investments from Joe Lubin, Ethereum’s co-founder and CEO of Consensys, as well as systematic adventures. “Neal Stephenson is one of the leading figures in the cyberpunk,” Lubin said. “Lamina1 is now perfectly positioned to be the head of the Onchain revolution in the creation of content,” he added.
Launched in 2022, aimed at Lamina1 to enable artists, writers and developers to maintain control of their intellectual possession while involving fans in the creative process. The platform has seen more than 150,000 active addresses since it launched.

The debut spaces in line as the first product
The debut product in linea is called spaces, which will serve as home for interactive worlds driven by the story and IP controlled by the creator.
The first project within the spaces was Artefact, developed by Stephenson, Wetta workshop and the Lamina1 team. Described as a gaming experience in a Post-Ai world, Artefact will allow players to join competing factions, collect data fragments and shape unchanged narrative.
“Linea’s Zkevm offers a fine environment for platforms driven by the creator such as Lamina1 spaces due to the fast, inexpensive, and safe blockspace that uses Ethereum decentralization, with full development compatible with EVM, ZK-proofs for the rapid end of the Ethereum and Linea,” Declan Fox, vice president and head of linea said.
Fox added that user data, digital assets and creative IPs in line are protected by Verax, a testimony platform that allows creators to attach proven credentials to their works. “This stable infrastructure has supported millions of testimonies for the use of cases such as proof of humanity,” he added.
The ZKEVM technology of the linea is designed to handle the measured Ethereum applications with low fees and rapid performance. Expansion follows the recent Linea token event and signals growing momentum for creative applications in Ethereum’s layer-2 space.

Airdrops for long -term line holders
Earlier this month, Lubin said the long -term holders of the new line token may receive future rewards. In an X post, he suggested that handling tokens over time could qualify users for airdrops from Consensys or other ecosystem projects.
Comments came after community concerns about the utility of the line token following the event of the token generation. A user calls the team to enable staking or lending to give to the real use of the token, while others criticize the project, Calling Line a “memecoin” with no clear value beyond the speculation.
