Polymarket and Kalshi Prediction Market Coming to Google (GOOG)

Google will bring market odds predictions from Polymarket and Kalshi directly to Google Search and the revamped Google Finance platform, giving users access to forecasts based on most major future events.

The move is part of a broader rollout of features aimed at making Google Finance more interactive, AI-powered and globally accessible. Today, forecast data will be displayed in response to natural language queries such as “Will the US enter a recession in 2025?” or “Who will win the 2024 US Presidential election?” Users can see real-time market odds, along with charts that show how the probabilities have moved over time.

Prediction markets work by allowing people to buy and sell shares on the outcome of future events. The resulting prices reflect the market’s collective expectations.

The feature taps into the idea that the “wisdom of the crowd” can offer a sharper forecast than traditional pundits or models. While prediction markets have long existed on the fringes of finance and politics, Google’s integration brings them directly into mainstream tools.

This marks one of the first times a major tech platform has integrated real-time predictive market data into consumer-facing products. For Polymarket, a blockchain-based platform that operates out of the US due to regulatory barriers, the partnership is a significant step toward greater visibility.

The update is part of a broader overhaul of Google Finance, which also includes deep search, a tool that uses Google’s Gemini AI to generate long-term, informed financial answers, and new revenue call tracking features with real-time transcripts and summaries.

Market prediction data is currently aggregated among users in Google Labs, with wider access expected soon. Google also announced that the updated Google Finance will expand beyond the US, starting with India.
