FIFA changes NFT’s platform to new Blockchain compatible with Ethereum

The Federation Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) plans to launch a new blockchain network to support invisible token collections (NFT), the organization announced on April 30.
FIFA will Launch “FIFA Blockchain,” with compatibility with the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) and aims to provide “better performance, future features, and improved scalability.”
As part of the transfer, FIFA collect – the official NFT collection – will move from the Algorand Blockchain to the new FIFA blockchain. The move is set to start earlier than May 20, FIFA said.
“At this stage, immediate action is not required. When the transfer process begins, we will provide clear, step-by-step instructions on what (if any) you need to do,” the announcement said.
The transfer of the collection will take place “no earlier than” May 20, FIFA said, it added that it will confirm the exact date and will provide clear instructions for NFT holders.
Following the transfer, Algorand -based external waves such as money and defly will no longer be supported. Instead, users can connect to FIFA to collect through metamask or other EVM wallets that support walletconnect.
The other listed collectib is automatically listed on the new platform, unless users have removed them before the transfer date.
This is a story development, and further information will be added as it is available.
