Chainlink, Pyth became Oracle Provider for the US government

The US government has tapped the chainlink and PYTH, two blockchain Oracle providers, to publish the onchain economic data.

PYTH was selected by the Commerce Department to become a Gross Domestic Product (GDP) data publisher – the total economic output in one year – according to AN announcement on Thursday.

The Oracle Provider Chainlink is also the US Department of Commerce to provide data feeds from the Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA).

These feeds include Real Gross Domestic Product (GDP), Personal Consumption Expenditures (PCE) Price Index, and Real Final Sales to Private Domestic Buyers, the company announced.

Publishing government data onchain is part of the Trump administration’s plan that make government spending clearer to a bid to improve responsibility.
