The Ethereum Foundation distributes $ 32.6M ecosystem award to Q1

The Ethereum Foundation, the nonprofit that supports the development of the entire Ethereum Blockchain, shares $ 32.6 million in the first quarter grants of 2025.

Of the 101 grants awarded, 32 went to community and education -focused initiatives. Recipients include creators of educational content, conference organizers, bootcamp and hackathons such as Ethprague and Ethiopia.
Eleven projects dedicated to improving the experience and tooling of the developer. Beneficiaries include projects dedicated to creating software-development kits (SDK), developing analytics and tooling validator platforms.
Many projects respond to accessing the Ethereum Improvement Profosal (EIP), ecosystem tools and language support libraries.
In addition, 14 grants have been awarded projects in the category of cryptography and zero-knowledge proofs (ZK-Proofs). These projects focus on developing cryptographic techniques, developing ZK-proof technology and security research and post-quantum cryptography.
Meanwhile, the seven Give beneficiaries are focused on layer implementation projects, while the other focuses on the consensus layer. Nine Provide beneficiaries are dedicated to protocol, general growth and support.
An additional 13 grants fell under a “other” category, covering areas including decentralized finances, DAPPS, infrastructure and business development.

Ethereum’s PECTRA upgrade is live on Mainnet
