AZTEC has launched the StealthNote app that provides privacy to corporate whistleblowers


Developers behind the Ethereum Layer 2 Aztec network launched a whistleblowing platform called stealthnote that allowed workers to vent about their employer without announcing themselves.

StealthNote uses proof zero-knowledge to prove that posts on its platform are written by someone with access to an email address of the company they are reviewing.

Aztec Labs Developer Saleel Pichen write In an April 14 x post that the stealthnote creates a zero-knowledge proof of a Google JSON web token, which is used to prove users and allows the platform to prove a poster that owns “an email from a company domain without announcing any personal information.”

According to In Aztec’s documentation, the privacy solution is in development from at least October 22, while the first Test Posting from the Aztec occurred about three months ago.

Workers from the Ethereum Foundation, Starkware and Scroll as well as the Universities of Columbia and Cornell have made stealthnote posts, mainly sharing greetings and expression of their support for privacy solutions.
