Defunct Crypto Exchange Mt. Gox said Monday That it pushed the creditor payment deadline by one year to October 2026 from October 31, 2025.
“Because it is desirable to make payments to the said rehabilitation creditors until reasonably practicable, the Rehabilitation Trustee, with the permission of the court, has changed the deadline for payments from October 31, 2025 to October 31, 2026,” the announcement said.
Except for some specific types of payments, the administrator has almost finished making the main payment called base payment, early lump sum payment, and intermediate payment to creditors who have completed the necessary steps and have not faced issues during the process, the statement explained.
BTC traded $111,540 as of writing, according to Coindesk data.
