Bitcoin Miner GDA expands of facilities in West Texas with 50 MW deployment

Genesis Digital Assets Limited (GDA) expands Bitcoin (BTC) mining operations in West Texas with increased 50-megawatt (MW) energization throughout the pyote and Vernon sites.
GDA is a private company with offices in the United Arab Emirates and the United States, with a total power capacity of over 600 MW. As the company refused to disclose its total hashrate, GDA executive president Abdumalik Mirakhmedov claimed that it was “one of the largest bitcoin mining companies in the world in terms of this scale.”
For comparison, BitDeer (BTDR) is one of the largest mining companies in Bitcoin in terms of infrastructure, has nearly 900 MW worth of capacity, while heavyweights Mara Holdings (Mara) and Riot Platform (Riot ).
The new GDA deployment included two 20 MW buildings on the pyote site, which brought it to 195 MW, and a 10 MW container setup to the Vernon site, which brought it to 70 MW. The pyote site can be expanded to 370 MW, according to the GDA website.
Bitcoin’s mining firm will take advantage of Texas’ demand-response program, which means that mining operation will kill its rigs during the peaks of electricity demand, and pay for it.
The GDA runs 20 data centers in many constituents, including Texas, South Carolina, Sweden and Argentina. A number of these centers Expect In green energy, including air, hydro, nuclear and flared gas.
“Bitcoin mining is GDA’s main business. The company is currently exploring synergies along with other emerging industries, including AI, to enhance and expand mining operations,” Mirakhmedov told CoinDesk.
