Mixed-Martial Arts Champion Conor McGregor launches Memecoin

Mixed-Martial Arts (MMA) champion Conor McGregor launched a memecoin called “Real” on April 5, which will be reported to feature staking rewards and voting rights for token holders.
The token was launched by a sealed-bid auction to eliminate snipers and bots hijacked to token launch and took place in collaboration with real gaming decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO).

The auction will take place from April 5-6. In a statement shared with Cointelegraph, McGregor placed the launch as a fair offer of Memecoin:
“It’s not some celebrity unconditional token, it’s a real game change that will change the crypto ecosystem as well as make real world changes. The seal-bid auction is the new way of launching a token to prevent rug pulls and snipers.
“It’s about transparency – we show the world how it does with integrity,” McGregor continued.
