The Crypto Exchange Kraken gained a market in the Financial Instruments Directive (MIFID) license in the European Union.
Kraken obtained the license that would provide to offer crypto derivatives on the block of 27 countries by obtaining a Cypriot investment company with a license from the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CSEC).
“In the coming months we will work to meet conditions to survive and launch products in local EU markets.,” The company said in the post on its blog on Monday.
The exchange is to join the other Bitsamp and FTX EU, which has been purchased recently Backpackto hold a mifid license.
The license is part of Kraken’s expansion plan throughout Europe. It also obtained crypto facilities, a UK FCA-regulated crypto futures platform, in 2019.
