CFTC Commissioner Mersinger to be CEO in Blockchain Association

The organization, one of the top crypto lobbying voices in Washington, would be a leader when long -time CEO Kristin Smith Step down This week and officially became president at the Solana Research Policy Institute. The Senate did not rush into its confirmation with Quintenz as he did to Paul Atkins, the new head of the Securities and Exchange Commission, but his confirmation will return to the agency back to a 2-1 majority of the majority, leaving two open positions-one for each party.
The agency has prepared to be one of the major crypto industry regulators if Congress has approved the new law to repair the sector. Lawmakers from both parties favor a bigger role for the CFTC in administration in the market area for trading most of the volume of digital assets.
