Ethereum at sunset largest testnet holešky soon

Ethereum’s biggest testnet, Holešky, will sunk the sun as part of a planned closure and move to the hoodi testnet following some technical issues earlier in the year.

The foundation Says Monday Holešky will be closed two weeks after the upgrading of FUSAKA will be finalized on the network. Upgrading was suggested for once in the second half of September.

“After that, the client’s holešky, trial or infrastructure teams will no longer support,” he said. While the exact date is unclear, the Ethereum core developer is looking to launch FUSAKA on Mainnet in November – so it should happen well before.

Holešky was launched in September 2023 and was assigned to a test of staking infrastructure and validator operations.

“The network has served its purpose, enabling thousands of validators to test protocol upgrades, including upgrading the Dencun network and the latest, Pectra,” the foundation said.

The move reflects the Ethereum community’s commitment to improving each network layer. While decentralization by staking and scalability has long been priorities, the foundation recently tout that UX as one in Ethereum’s Highest opportunities in motivation In the next six to 12 months.

Hoodi Steps for Holešky

As Holešky reached the “planned end date of life,” it saw “wide inactive leak” in early 2025, resulting in a large exit queue. While recovering, the foundation launched Hoodi in March to provide a fresh environmental test without those issues.

The foundation said one of the next steps was to move all of the Hoodi staking and infrastructure operators to Hoodi, which supports PECTRA updates and will carry out future protocol upgrades, including the upcoming FUSAKA Fork.

The Ethereum Foundation recommends moving to Sepolia as “Recommended Testnet” for smart contract and decentralized app testing for now.

Fusaka is still set for late 2025

Ethereum’s Next significant hard fork Fusaka-Fulu-OSAKA-scheduled for early November and seems to improve how data rolls access by rollups by distributing workloads of having data better throughout the network validators.

This change can make running nodes easier, improving network decentralization and strengthening layer-2 scalability as rollups can process transactions faster and at lower cost. Fusaka consists of 11 Ethereum improvement measures.

Glamsterdam on track for 2026

The Glamsterdam upgrade under EIP-7782 has ended for once in 2026 and is expected to include a proposal seeking to divide block hours in 6 seconds.

The proposal will be sought Separate Block verification from implementation To give the providers more time to create the zero-knowledge Ethereum Virtual Machine Proofs, Ladislaus said from the Foundation’s protocol coordination team to the Cointelegraph in late July.

Ethereum’s recent developments also show market impact, as many Companies are publicly listed established ether (Eth) Wealth in recent months – a major back catalyst More than 200% ETH price rally From April.
