ETHEREUM ICO Whale Stakes $ 646M ETH After three years dormant



An early ether {{Eth}} Only the investor joins the economic layer of the market with one of the largest staking deposits in recent memory.

On-chain data flagged 150,000 ETHs, worth about $ 646 million, moving from three purses tied to Ethereum’s 2014’s initial coin offering a staking address on Thursday night.

The wallets have been inactive since February 2022, when they processed non -ETH transactions.

The investor originally received 1 million ETH during the ICO period for a $ 310,000 outlay – effective Ether purchase at $ 0.31. That position is now worth near $ 4.3 billion, according to Lookonchain data.

Even after the movement of this week, the two wallets still hold another 105,000 ETH, worth $ 451 million.

This is the latest in a string of resurfacing ICO Whales. Last month, one participant had moved $ 19 million to ETH with Kraken, while another switched 2,300 ETHs in exchange.

Entrepreneurs look at transactions such as prolonged supply signals entering the circulation, even in this case the funds are staked rather than selling.

The Staking Layer of Ethereum has grown in the past 33 million ETHs this year, with older investors increasingly participating as the yields are stabilized and the proof-of-stake models are proof-of-stake models.
