ETORO ensures MICA’s license from Cyprus Cysec to offer crypto services across EEA



Etono said it received regulatory approval under the European Union framework in the Crypto-Assets (MICA) framework and was about to provide cryptocurrency trading services and precautions throughout the region. The trade platform announced the approval from the Cyprus Securities Exchange Commission on Wednesday.

MICA regulation that requires companies to obtain a Crypto Asset (CASP) service provider license in December and established a standard legal framework for crypto services throughout the 27-country bloc of Trading. Approval under Mica also opens doors to Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Norway that are not EU members.

The company joins Crypto Exchanges Bitpanda, Okx and Crypto.com Among others who have gained a MICA license.

Israeli-based ethoro, which offers a mix of traditional and crypto trading services, builds a global presence. It obtained a license to New York in 2023 and reached the UK Crypto register in 2022.
