The team behind interoperability protocol Hyperlane on Thursday shared their upcoming AirDrop token plans that occur at the end of the month.
AirDrop will take place on April 22, and users can check their eligibility to receive $ hyper tokens through a portal provided by the Hyperlane Foundation on April 13, the team shared in a press release with CoinDesk.
Token distribution will mostly go to the community, with 57%of the supply going to users, while the remaining circulating -transition tokens will be shared with the main team (25%), investor (10.9%), and the Treasury of the Foundation (7.1%).
The team also shared that AirDrop will be fully locked for community recipients, while major teams and investor tokens will be locked in the first 12 months.
In addition to the token distribution to earlier users, Hyperlane will appear with their “expanding reward” programs, based on developer and cross-chain end-user activity, and will be shared with users each quarter proportional to their network activity.
“The retroactive allocation of the TGE token is only first for many in the coming years, as protocol ownership begins to move into the hands of developers and end-users who rely on Hyperlane to send properties and other critical messages throughout the chain,” said Nam Chu Hoai, a Hyperlane co-founder.
