Lyzi raised $ 1.4M to expand the Tezos-based retail, E-Commerce Crypto Payment Service

The Crypto Hub-based Tezos said Lyzi raised 1.3 million euros ($ 1.4 million) in a cycle of seed funding to expand its platform development.
The cycle includes participation from angel investors Christopher Grilhault Des Fontaines, DFNS founder, and Jean-Luc Bernard, Astek founder, according to an email announcement shared with CoinDesk on Tuesday.
Lyzi, built in Tezos Layer-1 BlockchainConsumers are allowed to use cryptocurrencies to make daily payments to retail and e-commerce environments. Traders collect cryptocurrency payments and receive FIAT directly on their bank accounts.
Following the seed increase, Lyzi’s next step will be launched in Tezos’ Layer-2Etherlink, compatible with the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM), the operating system of the second largest blockchain in the world.
“Our goal is to do the acceptance of crypto payments as soon as merchants need to ask themselves, ‘Why would I not do that?'” CEO Damien Patureaux said in Tuesday’s announcement.
The building in Etherlink represents the next stage of its journey to expand to more markets around the world, he said.
