Moving Celo to the Layer-2 network is over, bringing a new season for the blockchain

According to Rene Reisberg, the CEO of the Celo Foundation, the move is the first of its kind to the Ethereum ecosystem, and will probably be used as a blueprint for other EVM-compatible blockchains looking to become a network-2 network.
“This path of not only spinning a new chain, but really keeping that history, and having everything in the new chain, while more work, is great from a Celo perspective. It becomes this kind of great study in the case for Ethereum,” Rene Reinsberg, the President at the Celo Foundation, said in an interview.
“Even based on the outreach I got from other L1 founders like, ‘Hey, so how does it really feel inside going through this move, and how much work, and how do you think of it?’ And so it feels like there is an increase in interest today, ”Reinsberg added.
