Polymarket Bettors believe Justin Trudeau will resign as Prime Minister of Canada on Friday

Will he stay, or will he go? For Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, the latter appears to be near. Now Polymarket bettors are debating when exactly he will announce his resignation.

While Trudeau’s resignation contracts aren’t new, there are two with low six-figure volumes attached to them that question whether he’ll quit. February o Apriland another from December asking if the opposition parties will trigger elections through the spring.

Also, asking if the The Prime Minister will step down on Wednesdaythis gives a 72% chance but that particular contract has a smaller volume at around $10,000. Finally, thirdly, asking if he was leaving on Friday puts the chance of that happening at 80%.

While the Toronto Star and the Globe and Mail both have sources saying a resignation is imminent, Reuterswho he says spoke to other people, said Trudeau has not yet decided.

Angus Reid, a Canadian pollster, giving the Prime Minister a 22% approval rating. Polling aggregators show that if an election were held today, Trudeau’s Liberals would will be destroyedwon only 46 seats while the Conservatives would take 225 which would give them a majority in the Parliament of Canada.
