Samsung is dating Coinbase to give Crypto bet So far, companies said Thursday.
Samsung’s wallet will allow Coinbase one Service, which includes zero trading fees and increased staking rewards. This means that users can explore crypto without downloading a separate app or moving funds across the platforms.
Samsung Pay is also linked to Coinbase accounts, allowing those with a galaxy to make payments tied to their holdings. As such, crypto tools are available in the same area of phone users that store payment cards, transit passes and IDs.
“Our mission is to bring more than a billion people to the chain, and it starts to meet them where they are: on their phones,” said Shan Aggarwal, chief business official, Coinbase.
As the controlling begins in the US, Samsung and Coinbase plan to expand the program in international markets in the coming months.
“The Samsung Wallet is a trusted tool for millions of space users, and we continue to work to find creative ways to enhance the experience of extra functioning,” said Drew Blackard, SVP of Mobile Product Management, Samsung Electronics America.
