Japan’s credit card users can now turn their loyalty points into encryption. Aplus allows the Greater SBI collection Cards holders recover APLUS points For small quantities of bitcoin (BTC), ether (ETH) or XRP (XRP).
2,100 points will win more than 2000 Japanese yen, from distinctive symbols, about $ 13 at current exchange rates. The encryption is treated by the SBI exchange arm and deposited directly in the user’s VC trade account.
The feature is only available for cards that qualify under APLUS Points.
Although it represented a relatively small amount, it represents the first time a coded currency was added to the APLUS Catalog, which previously focused on recovering cash and partner bonuses.
For SBI, it is a low risk method to push the user exposure without paying speculation trading. The bank’s support for Ripple for years, XRP was the first code listed in the VC trade when it was launched in 2018.
