Texas Senate passes Bitcoin Strategic Reserve Bill

The Senate of Texas passed Bitcoin (Btc) Strategic Reserve Bill SB-21 in a 25-5 vote on March 6, after consulting the merit of the Senate floor law.

Texas State Senator Charles Schwertner has argued for the bill, saying that it will help the US state coast its balance sheet with an important, difficult owner.

Lawmakers are also afraid that Bitcoin is a direct competitor to the US dollar as a global currency reserve, adding that it is more like gold.
