The American encryption policy enters a new era

For years, Washington was considered an anti -coded area. The organizational oppression, lawsuits, and uncertainty in politics pushed many builders abroad and left advocates of arduous battles on Capitol Hill.
But, as Christine Smith, head of the Solana Policy Institute, explained in the latest episode of Clear Crypto Podcast, TEDE turns in a dramatic way.
Encryption
Smith, a long -time political leader in Washington and former CEO of Blockchain Association, has joined hosts Nathan Guevai and Gareth Jenkson to empty the changing American organizational environment.
It was one day a fragmented and defensive industry turned into one of the most coordinated and effective political movements in modern memory.
At least in the United States, [there was] She said that the comprehensive encryption attack is primarily using securities laws to create confusion and pay builders abroad.
“But if you look at the place where we were … Crypto survived and flourished now. I think it will expand the market to levels that we could not only imagine until this stage.”
At the heart of this transformation is recently Significant genius lawHistorical legislation that creates a federal framework to combat stablecoins backed by dollars. Smith describes the law as not only a victory for the industry but also verifying the validity of the Blockchain role in the American economy.
She said: “It is really important not only for stablecoins, but for the underlying Blockchains Blockchains in which Stablecoins is bonus,” she said.
“To move forward, if we have a lot of value that is traded on these bars, the government cannot come and attack those bars. It will not be political that is not appropriate.”
Pressure
The episode also highlights how pressure is matured inside the space. From just a handful of politics defenders in 2017 to hundreds of today, Crypto built a presence in Washington competing with traditional industries. Smith note:
“We have moved from the presence of companies that do not want to participate in Washington … to the existence of the biggest Back ever. It’s a real political movement.”

The Solana Policy Institute plays a unique role in this ecosystem, and it represents the entire Blockchain network instead of one company.
By amplifying the views of Solana and Builders and users, SPI writes a new book of how decentralized societies interact with the organizers.
However, Smith says this is not related to the protection of job occupants. Crypto advocates are motivated by believing in creating a more open financial system, and a system in which people enjoy their ownership of their origins and can deal without unnecessary intermediaries.
