The Ethereum Foundation Executive talks with challenges, interview competitions

As Ethereum marked its 10th anniversary, the platform found itself at a critical point in its journey. In an exclusive interview with Cointelegraph, Tomasz Stanczak, co-executive director of the Ethereum Foundation, discussed the shift of the Blockchain technology view-and what was next for Ethereum.
During the interview, Stanczak discussed growing competition from newer blockchains such as Solana, Aptos and others. While critics have argued that Ethereum was caught in terms of user speed and experience, Stanczak made it clear that the foundation was focused on long-term priorities and careful development, even in the midst of the noise.
He also shared his view of the emerging Ethereum ecosystem, especially the more important relationship between layer-1 and layer-2 solutions. According to Stanczak, the focus is now on interoperability, tools and standards that can bring more unity to the Ethereum network – without compromising its basic principles, such as decentralization and neutrality.
The conversation also touches staking incentives and the debate on whether the Ethereum can continue to attract validators as layer-2 solutions grow. Stanczak suggests that while institutional players are often focused on returns, many community members prioritize Ethereum’s long -term values and security.
The community building is another hot topic. Stanczak reflects Ethereum’s unique position in the crypto space and foundation strategy compared to rivals that draw attention to aggressive outreach and rapid growth.
The interview also reflects the current influence of Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Blerin and the gentle ways he continues to shape Ethereum’s direction.
