The Trump administration has reportedly pulled Brian Quintenz’s nomination to the Commodity Futures Trading Commission.

Politico reported On Tuesday, citing two people who were aware of the decision ahead of its public announcement, that the White House withdrew Quintenz’s nomination to become a member of the Board and Chairman of the CFTC.

Quintenz told Politico that “nominated to chair the CFTC and go through the confirmation process is the honor of my life.”

“I am grateful to the President for that opportunity and the Senate Agriculture Committee for his consideration,” he added. “I hope to go back to my private sectors working hard with this eager time for change in our country.”
