Upbit parents files ‘Giwa’ trademarks among the rumors of the new launch of Blockchain



South Korea Cryptocurrency Exchange Company upbit, Dunamu, has filed several trademark applications for what has been heard of a new blockchain project under the name “Giwa.”

The Trademark Applicationswhich is transferring to social media, including stylish letters next to what could be the project logo.

Rumors seemed to come from the microblogging platform x, where a user A friend who attended the Upbit Developer Conference has already commented (UDC) Heard the blockchain would be its own blockchain network.

Since then, many posts have strengthened rumors, but no official confirmation originated in Upbit or the parent company Dunamu.

A website tied to the name of Rumored Blockchain, Giwa, is Live and currently features a countdown suggesting that the network can be expressed within the next few hours. The countdown appears at the bottom of the text reading “closely.” The countdown coincides with the UDC to live, such as Event was scheduled for September 9 in Seoul, South Korea.

Many other cryptocurrency exchanges have supported their own blockchain networks. This includes the layer-2 base of Coinbase, Okx’s Okchain, Binance’s initial support for the BSC chain, which later rebranded the BNB chain, and more.

CoinDesk reached Upbit and Dunamu for comment but had not heard at the time of writing.
