Crypto Exchange Kraken is buying US Futures Trading Platform Ninjatrader for $ 1.5 billion, The firm said on Thursday.
By getting, Kraken can now offer futures and derivatives in the US as Ninjatrader is a CFTC licensed platform. Also, Kraken’s UK, EU and Australian licenses will allow the ninjatrader to expand in those regions.

“Joining the forces with Kraken gives us to bring this vision to a global scale, expanding our reach and unlocking innovative use cases,” said Marty Franchi, CEO of Ninjatrader.
The transaction, subject to closing conditions, is expected to close at the end of the first half of 2025, Kraken said.
