An admin wallet for Layer-2 Blockchain Zkync was compromised on Tuesday with the hacker that removed $ 5 million worth of ZK tokens.
Stolen funds are the “outstanding unspecified tokens from Zkync Airdrop,” Zkync wrote at Twitterbefore saying that “required security measures are taken.”
Protocol’s ZK token dropped almost 14% in the past 24 hours. The volume increased by 96% to $ 71 million at the same time.
Zkync said the attack was an isolated incident and that it was confined to the AirDrop token contract.
