Intesa Sanpaolo, the largest Italian bank by total assets, buys 11 Bitcoin for more than $1 million

Bitcoin (BTC) continues to take root in the traditional finance system. Italy’s largest bank by assets, Intesa Sanpaolo, bought 11 bitcoins for more than $1 million, according to a report. Reuters a report.
Reuters saw an internal message that said: “As of today, January 13, 2025, Intesa Sanpaolo owns 11 bitcoins.”
Intesa Sanpaolo currently has Market value With a value of approximately $73 billion, which places it 247th among the top 250 most valuable companies. The stock price is up a bit today, up more than 2%.
According to Reuters, Intesa has had its own trading desk for the past few years and also handles spot trading of other cryptocurrencies.
Bitcoin rose 2% on Tuesday, trading at more than $96,500, after falling more than 5% on Monday, hitting a low of around $89,400.
